Puntos Juntos

<<Together we are strong>>
an interactive dance performance for young audiences

Puntos Juntos is an interactive dance performance with and for children from 4 years of age. Creative and humorous, the dancers create a space full of play and dance. With challenging movements they master their way through the world of spots and dots. The blue dot is very close, but the green dot is so far away - how can you reach it?
The support of the children is needed to find paths together that lead through all levels of the game. Quickly it becomes clear: Only together is it possible to collect more points and thus explore the different paths and the dancing bodies within them.

The performance is an introduction to the theme 'together we are strong'. Togetherness despite the differences of each individual is thematised in a playful way. In the beginning of the performance, various dots are distributed among the audience and need to find the right position in the colourful world throughout the piece. After the performance, all young audience members are invited to come on stage and join this world for a workshop. The topic will be used as a red line to guide them though different exercises in order to make their own physical experience of togetherness. The participants will search for solutions themselves, develop team spirit and get to know their own bodies and those of others.

<< The contweedancecollective with its contemporary and yet very child oriented dance performance "Puntos Juntos" captivated the children by the first beat, the first dance movement, the first light effect and the minimalist stage design reduced to points. Both dancers managed to captivate the children and with the interactive dance performance they brought individual children together into a group. They helped children to co-construct and empathise with each other, conjured laughter and joy on their faces and created a wonderful cultural experience. It was a pleasure and an honour for me as a teacher to be allowed to be part of this situation, to witness how children are taken into a learning process with provocation in a positive sense. These moments are very rare in our fast moving world and the conformity of everyday life. Thank you for this experience. >>
