Siluetas de tinte morado

Siluetas de tinte morado is inspired by the instinctive animalistic side of the man and the majestic power of the sun. Explicitly, Mexican choreographer Eric Soto wants to work with a female body as a counterpoint to these two masculine components.

The main objectives to be fulfilled in this work, is to transform the corporal state into a body that dissociates itself from the
"thought - ego" and thus gets closer to the representation of the natural environment in which animals live, how they act and interact. It is also meant as a mirror to human society, rethink the way we act and our way of decision-making-processes. It’s about dissociating a human body from today’s digital media presence, the consumer society and a profit-oriented lifestyle.
